Senate Vote Number 12, 77 to 18

Issue: H.R.2872, Further Additional Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act, 2024 (Formerly titled: To amend the Permanent Electronic Duck Stamp Act of 2013 to allow the Secretary of the Interior to issue electronic stamps under such Act, and for other purposes.) Question: On Passage of the Bill: H.R. 2872, As Amended. (3/5 vote required)

Result: Passed in Senate, 77 yeas to 18 nays, 5 not voting. Senate Vote Number 12, 1-28-24.  Passed later that day in House, Roll Call 15. Became Public Law 118-35 (signed by the President, 1-19-24). GOP and Democrats scored.

FFS Summary: This Continuing Resolution extends government spending at current levels (much of which is unconstitutional), some until March 1, other until March 8.

This act provides continuing FY2024 appropriations for federal agencies. The act also extends several expiring programs and authorities, including several public health programs.
