Notes: This one received a hearing Mon., Feb. 6, before the House State Affairs committee -- who unfortunately passed it (10 to 3). On Wed., Feb. 8, it was actually voted down, 31-34! And yet, the rules (which are contrary to the way most legislatures do things) allowed a Rep. who had voted for it (and thus on the losing side), to move for a reconsideration of the vote. And this motion to reconsider PASSED, 38-26!!! (How does this make ANY sense???) So, the thing went right back on the calendar. HOWEVER, Good News! on Feb. 13 it was AGAIN voted down -- this time by an even bigger vote, 28-40!! We can only hope that THAT is the end of it!!!
